About Me
Over the last 9+ years, in addition to working in private practice I have built an expertise in providing high risk crisis support, worked with adolescents and their parents and trained mental health clinicians working towards licensure. I have also had the privilege to work alongside incredible organizations like the IRC and USCRI to support Afghan refugees who have been resettled in the United States.
Having lived and worked in India, Singapore and New York, I am intimately familiar with the challenges of adjustment issues, immigration stress, resettling in a new environment and straddling two cultures simultaneously. Since completing my graduation from New York University, I have had the chance to work in a private practice setting with New Yorkers from all fields and diverse ethnic backgrounds.

When not in session you can find me exploring different neighborhoods and cafes in New York City, often walking around with a coffee in hand. I am a proud plant mom and feel restored by being near the ocean or on a beach. I enjoy practicing yoga, watching sunsets and dancing.

My Approach
I strive to create a warm, compassionate and playful environment. I believe the client - therapist relationship is crucial for good therapeutic work. I invest time in getting to know you and learning your story.
In our sessions together you can expect to explore your past, discuss your future goals and recognize how the two are impacting you now, in your present. We will explore your relationships with those around you and yourself. In doing so we will co-create a plan to help shift your story and equip you with the tools you need to feel unstuck.
We will utilize somatic and parts work to help us connect to experiences or emotions living in your body. We can lean on creative tools in addition to talk therapy to help you express yourself, such as writing, art, psychodrama, movement and breath work. I am well versed in Psychodynamic, Narrative, Interpersonal, CBT, IFS and EFT approaches.
I will help guide you, challenge you and when necessary, hold you accountable. Together we will build new insights, dive into the unconscious processes that are coloring your behavior and build practical tools to apply to your life.
